Mission and Goals

Mission:
To improve prevention and treatment of mental health and substance abuse problems and services among Native people.


Goals
The objectives of the National Resource Center include:

Bullet Promote and nurture effective and culturally appropriate mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment services for Native populations.
Bullet Identify culturally appropriate, effective evidence-based mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment practices and disseminate them so that they can be applied successfully across diverse tribal communities.
Bullet Provide technical assistance, training and products to expand the capacity and quality of mental heath and substance abuse prevention and treatment practitioners serving Native populations.
