Rita Blumenstein Certified Traditional Healer

(Dr.) Rita Pitka Blumenstein, TH, a Yup'ik Elder was certified as a Traditional Healer in 1999 by an Elders' Council at Southcentral Foundation. She is the first tribal doctor in Alaska certified to treat Alaska Native and American Indian patients in a medical facility. One Sky Center will be represented by R. Dale Walker, MD, who will present a certificate of recognition to (Dr.) Rita and participate in the collaborative sessions.
