Abstract
Project Venture seeks to prevent, delay, and reduce alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use by meeting four objectives derived from the original Project Venture. The program will increase the participating youth’s opportunities to develop cooperation/collaboration with peers and role models, it will expand opportunities for schools and community groups to co-develop and implement service leadership opportunities, it will increase the participating youth’s feelings of self-efficacy and reduce their feelings of powerlessness, and it will boost the participating youth’s decision-making and problem-solving skills.
